Wednesday of this week he started saying "mu ma ma" I have no idea if he knows that's me or not, but he's at least got the sounds down!!! he's had "da da da da da da da da da da" for a while. and about 3 weeks ago i was trying to get him to say "MOMMA" and he repeated "BABA" but if you look in a mirror, the lips are about the same for both words so i was proud and i took that for a while that i was "BABA"
He has recently discovered a toy puppy dog we have that "sings and plays games". Jonas talks to this dog all the time. he even gives it kisses! it's so precious! and the dog doesn't just say the same thing over and over and over and over and over. so i hope it will take a while for me to get sick of it.
He had such a good breakfast this morning! He ate a whole jar of baby food without stopping to taste it. AND he ate 1/2 a thing of yogurt that i was going to just give him a few bites and i was going to eat the rest. well, i got like 3 bites! i stopped shoveling the food in for one second to say "Jonas, You're eating so much!" and he just started crying and wouldn't finish. and i mean immediate tears like i had totally hurt his feelings. i felt awful~! he showed no signs of slowing down eating. and then when i said that, he did not want anymore!
so we went to get our picture made for the church directory last night. and while we were trying to pick out which one we liked, Jonas started showing off and the photographer took a few more of Jonas! man he's so cute!

so i have a question for anyone that actually reads this thing, What are some good ideas for a first birthday party in october? my brain is going all over on this one! i can't settle on one idea!

Do something that you will enjoy that will be easy. Jonas won't remember it at all, and if you do too much you will exhaust yourself and hate it. Do something like inviting over good friends for a quick play in the yard, some cake, and kids going to take a nap so adults can fellowship. That would be my ideal get together. But you don't have to take my word for it. (Duh-dun duh. -you know you loved Reading Rainbow.)
